It 's thursday already?!!!
Ok, I know I'm late but it has been a busy week. Kinda. Sorta. Not at all. My ecxuse? Don't have one. You probably know the story of the Illfated fishing trip from reading granitepeaks.But for the less informed here goes. (at this time author decides he does not feel like typing anymore and quites,Sorry).
Time, 3:00 in morning. Day, saturday the 23 of July. Setting,back of excursion. Characters present,Author, uncle and dad. At 3:00 A.M. dads alarm goes of all three subjects awake and prepare to hike to a lake 8 miles back. Time, 3:30 A.M. aforementioned threesome start hiking under full moon. Time, 4:30 A.M. Subject reach waypoint. Waypoint being valley with lake in it. Subjects see that valley is filled with smoke from fire. Time4:45 A.M. Subjects decide to go on.(Note:At this time auther decides to continue story). Well you may have guessed that the subjects were none other than yours truly and company.Anyway we hiked up the sidecanyon 28 switch backs in all and a grand total of six miles.by the time we got up there it was light and there was smoke coming from over the ridge.bad? maybe. We debated for half an hour with the decision finally being to turn around, during this time a spotter plane flew over and checked out all the side canyons. As we hiked out the smoke cleared off and we never heard any of the results of it. We ended up hiking about 12 miles total.Results? No fishing And sore legs.
