Continuation of last week.

When my great Grandpa was finished with high school he went with his brother to Indiana looking for work. A couple weeks later he hopped a train to Chicago. He could not find work there and so hopped trains to New York looking for a job on a oceon liner. He finaly got a job on one and sailed for a couple journeys. He then went back to Montana and went through a year of college. After the school year he got a job on the ship Leviathan as a carpenter on the journey he had to fix any minor damages. The first journey they had bad weather and he considered finding a new ship. He stayed on and a couple days out they had a storm that caused a crack almost an inch wide on the top deck they repaired it and he arrived a few days late back in Montana for the start of school. The next trip was on a different ship and as they sailed he developed a hurnia. He got off the ship in Seatle and had surgery. But by the time he got out of the hospital it as time to head back to school. When he graduated as a Chem.Major the Great Depression hit and he was stuck without a job. He hopped trains around the states looking for work and doing odd jobs.

In the next segment I will tell you more but that is all for now.
